Yes you!  You are a world changer.  Whether you know it, acknowledge it or embrace it doesn't matter.  Just your mere presence changes the world.  How you may be asking.  Simple.  You impact the people around you and the way you impact them, creates a rippling effect.  As a result of them knowing or interacting with you, they take some form of action.  That my friend is how you change the world; by influencing others to do something.

Dear World Changer,

Now you influence positively or negatively.  Think about it.  Have you ever met someone who inspired you to want to do more, be more or even be a better person?  Have you ever met someone who just rubbed you the wrong way?  Who discouraged you from attempting to live your dreams?  People impact us every day in some way, some form or some fashion.  My challenge to you is to positively impact the people around you.  That's precisely what my mentor did.

You see about fifteen years ago, a business executive approached me and told me he saw untapped potential in me. He wanted to help me unearth it and live to my fullest potential.  He wanted me to embrace my purpose and to use  my talent to make a difference in the world.  At the time he offered his help, I didn't see my potential nor did I believe in myself.  This mentorship was a defining moment in my life and also the turning point from a place of brokenness to a place of fulfillment.

Having a mentor is not optional!  It is a critical component in the lives of people who are successful.  Go ahead - research it.  Oprah, Richard Branson, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs and many others credit their mentors for helping them to achieve the measure of success they each experience or experienced.

There are so many benefits of having a mentor.  This week's video explains the benefits.  Here is the link to check it out https://youtu.be/4NzR0AAd4Lg.  These benefits only occur when you chose a mentor who is dedicated to your success.  When choosing a mentor make sure you find someone who has the time to invest in your development, who has experience in the areas you have interest in, who won't be threatened by your talent and someone who is not afraid to correct or challenge you.

After benefiting so much from the experience my mentor provided to me, I made a commitment to mentor others.  It's the least that I can do.  If you are interested in a one time group mentoring experience, I invite you to spend an hour and a half with me on the evening of Thursday April 19th, 2018 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.  We will meet up to have a chat and chill experience.  This experience is open to fifteen (15) women on a first come first served basis.  If you are interested in attending this FREE meet up, reserve your spot by registering on www.duquesadean.com.  Details will be provided via email once your registration is complete.

Stephen Spielberg said "The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image but giving them the opportunity to create themselves."  You have the option of living by default or choosing to create yourself and the life you've always dreamed of.

See you soon!
